Aquatic Facility

The pool and adjacent facilities are used by Suffern High School students for lifeguard training classes as well as by our swimming and diving teams.

Community Programs

Recreational Open Swim: Regular hours for Open Swim are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30-9:00 pm. Open Swim is canceled, however, when schools are closed for vacation or inclement weather. For any last minute changes in scheduling, please check aquatic director Joan Neuendorf’s website. If the pool is rented, Open Swim runs from 7:30-8:00, to be followed by rental use from 8:00-9:00 pm. Open Swim is available to Suffern Central School District residents only, at an annual cost for individuals of $25.00 and a maximum for families of $75.00 per household.

Pool Rental:
The pool may be rented by groups that are affiliated with the Suffern Central School District. Such groups should submit a general request form for use of facilities and must have proof of insurance.
For group rental, fees are:
• $50.00 for up to 20 swimmer
• $2.50 per person over 20

For group rental, requirements include:

• a request for use of facilities form
• membership in an affiliated group with liability insurance and proof of that insurance
• group affiliation within Suffern Central School District area

Learn to Swim Program:
Classes are available to children between age 5 and 4th grade. Children must be pre-registered–no applications will be accepted at the first class meeting. Please be aware that there are only 40 spots for each class due to facility size. (Verification of enrollment is posted at the bottom of this page.)

The program’s cost is $25.00 for the first child and $20.00 for each additional child. This includes all four lessons. There are NO makeup lessons. Applicants may register for only one session. The Learn to Swim Program is available only to Suffern Central School District residents.
