Last night, in celebration of Computer Science Education Week our #SuffernCentral families came together for an #HourofCode. Utilizing the beautiful new Middle School library space, and through Code.org, everyone worked to learn some coding “basics” which help to develop skills such as problem-solving, logic and creativity. From animating Google logos, to creating avatars for games, kids were having a blast! A big thank you also to the Suffern Robotics Team who showcased their latest projects and let students tinker with their robots. Thank you also to Eric Rizzo and Jamie Haug, for making this a success. If you’d like to explore coding with your child at home, visit hourofcode.com and click on the activities tab.
