For the past few weeks, the 1st graders at Viola Elementary School have been collecting donations for their second annual Scholastic Books Pajama Drive. Also, for the second year in a row, they’ve partnered with the Suffern HS Hockey team to raise awareness for their cause.

Last Friday night, not only did the Hockey team ask for pajama donations at their game – they encouraged their fans to come dressed in their favorite PJs!

Today the hockey team visited Viola to drop off their donations and read the 1st graders a hockey story! Both the older and younger students loved talking with each other about hockey, their schools, and of course, pajamas!

Together, this crew is donating 471 pairs of pajamas to Scholastic! Scholastic will then donate those PJs and a book to children in need. We love seeing our students work together for such a great cause!
