Welcome to Cherry Lane Elementary, Home of the Terrific Tigers! It is a privilege and an honor to be the Principal of such a wonderful learning community. The teachers, staff, and I are excited at the endless possibilities and learning opportunities that lie ahead for all of our students. It is our mission to help every child feel welcome, nurtured, successful and supported; to feel a part of the Cherry Lane family.

We are fortunate to have an exceptional group of highly qualified teachers at Cherry Lane that spend countless hours planning and creating innovative and challenging lessons/activities that engage our students in critical thinking and problem solving. Our teachers utilize researched-based best practices and analyze data to determine individual student’s current levels in order to set goals for student academic growth and social and emotional learning.

Cherry Lane Elementary has a rich history of academic and cultural excellence that is a result of a shared partnership between the school faculty, parents, and community members who have worked together to provide a diverse set of experiences for our students. I invite you to come and visit Cherry Lane and to see for yourself the “terrific” things that are taking place at our school. Cherry Lane was named a National Blue ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education in September of 2013. Additionally, Cherry Lane has been named a ‘Reward School’ in 2012, 2014, and 2015.

Together we will continue to shape a path towards Educational Excellence by Building a 21st Century Mindset. When we ALL work together as a learning community, we can achieve greatness.
