Electronic Report Cards

Electronic Report Cards

Standards-based Elementary Report Card The Suffern Central School District  utilizes a standards-based elementary report card. These report cards are delivered electronically and effectively communicate students’ progress, areas of strength and where improvement is needed.

These report cards, first introduced in the 2014-15 school year, are grounded in current educational research and resulted from collaborative work by the District’s teachers, administrators and parent representatives.

How will I be able to see my child’s e-report card?
K-5 report cards will be available through the eSchoolData parent portal.
You will need to complete the online registration. For help registering,
If I don’t have internet access, can I request a paper report card?
Yes. Please note that the Parent Portal can be accessed on any device with internet access; computer, tablet, ipads, even smartphones.  If you foresee difficulty accessing the portal electronically, you may request a printed copy.  To do so please email portal@ramapocentral.net or submit a note to your child’s school with your child’s name, grade and school.

What does the report card look like?
You can see a sample of the report cards by clicking one of the links on the top left–Report Card Templates. Each report card contains two columns on each of two pages so be sure to scroll down. A key on each report card lists the assessment scale and what they mean.
Can I learn more about how my child was assessed?
Yes. Assessments are made using rubrics. You can read the rubrics by clicking the links listed by grade level and subject on the left and right sidebars. Rubrics are multi-page documents, so you will need to scroll down until you find the particular assessment area of interest or concern. Those are indicated at the top of each page. Rubrics use the same key as report cards.
Can I learn more about the areas of instruction?
Yes. The Suffern Central School District curriculum is published for public view here. After you open the site, rollover the word “Browse” on the top left and click “Curriculum Maps.” You will see a page that allows you to apply filters to find the map you are looking for quickly.
