A few years ago, Suffern Central schools went paperless, moving permission slips, monthly activity calendars and other school news to a central online location. This year we are serving our school news documents and community e-flyers from a Google Drive folder. Checking your school’s eBackpack regularly will help you stay up-to-date on what is happening in your child’s school.
If you have a Google mail account and you are logged in, the link will open the backpack folder in your Google Drive, but you don’t need to have a Google account to open the folder. Clicking the link will open the folder in a new browser window, giving you the same access to the documents and flyers.
When the Backpack folder opens, you will see two more folders–one for school and one for community. “School” folder contains important, downloadable information about school programs, special events and more. Information about upcoming community activities, not sponsored by the District, are available in the “Community” folder.
Choosing the grid view will give you a thumbnail image of the document’s contents, making it easier to find what you want to view in full screen. Opening a file supplies options to download or print it.
