Email the Principal

Dr. Lloyd is the principal of Sloatsburg Elementary School. He has worked in the field of education for fifteen years. Prior to joining the Suffern Central School District in 2014, Dr. Lloyd was an assistant principal for seven years and a classroom teacher for five years in the North Rockland Central School District. Dr. Lloyd is honored to be working with a dedicated faculty and staff, alongside a tight-knit community that rallies around its students.

Together, the Sloatsburg team works towards advancing the Suffern Central School District’s mission of “Educating for Personal Excellence,” while also “Inspiring Students to Believe in Themselves as They Reach Their Highest Potential.” Through offering an instructional program that builds students’ sense of belonging, engagement and achievement, it is their aim to foster: literate, critical thinkers, who possess creativity, character and practice healthy living.

Due to icy road conditions, Suffern Central School District will be operating on a 2-hour delay today, Thursday, February 21. There will be NO elementary school for students, except for PM Pre-K, which should report at 12:15 pm. Elementary school staff should report on the 2-hour delay schedule and parent-teacher conferences will take place as scheduled this afternoon.
