Mrs. Rodriguez began her term as the principal of Sloatsburg Elementary School in 2023. She has been a member of the Suffern Central School District since 2008, as a primary grade teacher at Viola Elementary School, most recently as a Kindergarten teacher, and was the summer program principal and the after-school program coordinator in 2021 and 2022. 

Mrs. Rodriguez is fluent in both English and Spanish and is known for her natural ability to connect with students and parents and work well with her staff. You will often see her dressed up on spirit days, engaging with students in the classroom, and greeting staff and students as they begin school each morning. Mrs. Rodriguez is committed to creating a school culture that celebrates diversity, encourages kindness, and promises a sense of belonging. She strives to create a positive atmosphere where students are excited about coming to school knowing that they are a part of a caring community that encourages growth and development.
