Acting Superintendent

Lee Weber with TELL AwardFrom the Acting Superintendent

Dear Suffern Central Families,

I am extremely honored to have been appointed Acting Superintendent of Schools by the Board of Education. I am humbled and grateful to the Board for placing their faith in me, and I intend to work in partnership with them in guiding our district forward.

Suffern Central has earned a national reputation for academic excellence and consistent student achievement, supported by outstanding and committed faculty and staff. As an educator for 27 years – and, as a Suffern Central parent – I wholeheartedly value the staff, instructional programs, PTAs and community partnerships in place. I vow to build upon past practices to ensure that current and future students are provided every opportunity to find their true passions and succeed in life.

I am confident that, by working together, our Suffern Central school community will heal and come through these challenging times even stronger than before. My promise to you is to lead by example and with integrity. I pledge to bring collaboration, conversation, and transparency so we can all move in the same direction, as one team, with one voice.

As Dr. Lisa Castaldo moves to her new position as Assistant Superintendent For Pupil Personnel Services, I wish to thank her for her leadership of the district. I look forward to continuing our work together on behalf of Suffern Central students, families and staff.

I appreciate this unique opportunity and the enormous responsibility that goes with the position. Educating for personal excellence remains the priority and I look forward to achieving that goal together. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
