It’s always great when our students can take part in activities that complement the curriculum they are learning. Our 4th-grade students spend time studying government and civics and travel to Albany in the spring for an even deeper dive into the material. Yesterday, the students at RP Connor received an extra treat – a visit from State Senator David Carlucci. The Senator spoke with the students about bills and laws and answered their questions about what it’s like to be a politician and involved in important decisions. Having a sense of civic responsibility is important and can start at any age.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible and to Senator Carlucci for his time.
