Good morning Mounties,
We made it to June! The weather is warmer, the sun is shining and hints of summer are popping up everywhere. It’s easy to get swept up in the end of the year excitement and the absence of homework, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. It’s time for that final push, to dig in and complete the tasks that are before us. Maintaining daily routine and structure, despite the distraction, is key as we prepare to cross the finish line of the 2018-19 school year.
The year isn’t over for a few of our sports teams either! The varsity girls lacrosse team and the varsity boys baseball team are both headed to states this year, as well as our girls track 4×400 relay team and individual qualifiers Mary Hennelly (steeplechase) and triple jump star Naiomi Meran. They will all be competing over the weekend and you can keep track on our Suffern Sports twitter page. (@suffernsports).
Just a reminder, the school schedule will shift over the next few weeks, so please be sure to familiarize yourself with your child(s) school dismissal times. The high school Regents exam and bus schedule is also available on the SHS website.
I have one more Office Hours session planned (June 12th, 4:30 – 5:30). Please contact my secretary, Angela Corbo, 357-7783 X11224, for one last chance to meet with me this year!
Have a wonderful day!
