Two-Way Dual Language Program
Suffern Central's enrichment program provides students the opportunity to learn all major content areas in two languages (English and Spanish) through a 50/50 model, which provides one full day of instruction in one language and then switches the next day to the second language. Classes are balanced between English-dominant, Spanish-dominant and bilingual children, enabling them to learn not only from their teachers, but from each other as well.
Benefits of a two-way dual language program include:
- Stronger analytical and social skills
- Deep appreciation for other cultures
- Superior reading, writing and verbal skills
- Higher test scores
