Recently, master gardener volunteers and Suffern High School 4H club members visited RP Connor elementary school. They presented a program called agricultural literacy in the classroom which is a statewide program run in grades K through 2. They read a book focused on the idea of farm to table, teaching the students the steps that go into producing the food they eat – from the farm to the table.

The teachers and the students loved the program which was no cost to the District thanks to the resources available to us from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland.

Thank you to Terry Barbanell for overseeing this great learning opportunity.  #MountiePride #SuffernCentral
