On Thursday, March 5, we offered free breakfast to our entire student population and it was a huge success. While some of our students take advantage of our breakfast options daily, others didn’t even know we offered so many options. From egg and cheese sandwiches to fruit and cereal, there is something for everyone.

On average we serve breakfast to 630 students daily, but on Thursday we served more than 2100 students across all seven schools. Even though the lines were long, the students patiently waited for their food, which they said they loved eating!

Thursday’s event has sparked more interest in eating breakfast in schools and we’re seeing a continued increase in participation. Thanks to our school administrators, teachers, staff and food service director Janet Ginocchio for helping to make our free breakfast day a huge success! #MountiePride #SuffernCentral
