Welcome to March – spring is just around the corner!

To welcome the new season and to emphasize the importance of healthy choices, we are launching a month-long initiative for the entire community called March Forward Suffern.

As an extension of the March Forward program started by Rockland County Government, we are excited to offer this month-long challenge to walk as many steps as you can, all in the name of health! Traditionally, March Forward is a day-long initiative held in schools, where movement breaks and exercise are the central focus of the day. This year, in addition to the classroom activity, we’re taking it a bit further and declaring the entire month of March as an opportunity to optimize your health and wellness. Students, staff and community members are encouraged to join the challenge by tracking steps, time spent walking, or distance walked, as well as other activities that get you moving.

Participants may receive shout-outs, prizes and other goodies along the way so stay tuned to our social media throughout the month. We hope you’ll join us!

Please be sure to promote your activity and tag yourself on social media with the hashtag #MarchForwardSuffern.
