District News

This weekend, the Suffern High School Suffern Robotics Teamentered the FIRST Qualifying Tournament in Red Hook, NY. We are so proud to report that the team will be moving on to the Regional Championship at Pace University this winter. The team was the recipient of the very prestigious “Inspire Award,” which takes precedence over winning the championship in match play.

The “Inspire Award” winner embodies the ‘challenge’ of the FIRST Tech Challenge program. They are strong ambassadors for FIRSTprograms and a role model FIRST team. The winner is a top contender for many other judged awards and is a gracious competitor. They are an inspiration to other teams, acting with Gracious Professionalism® both on and off the Playing Field. They share their experiences, enthusiasm, and knowledge with other teams, sponsors, their community, and the judges. Working as a unit, Suffern Robotics has shown success in performing the task of designing and building a Robot.

Congratulations Suffern Robotics Team! #MountiePride#SuffernCentral
