Music was in the air on Thursday, May 2, as the first annual Music Honors Banquet was held for co-curricular ensembles at the Crowne Plaza in Suffern. Gathering to celebrate the achievements of the students involved in music at Suffern High School were 248 students, faculty, and family members.

The event was moderated by Doreen Zarcone, Class of 1981 and Captain of the Twirling Squad, and current President of the Suffern High School Marching Band Association. Attendees also listened as keynote speaker, and SHS Alum (2003) Dr. Matthew Rotjan, talked about the talents students will need for their future.

All co-curricular ensembles were represented by students and faculty – the marching band, fall play, select choir, jazz band, big band, chamber orchestra, and the spring musical. In addition, 59 students were inducted into the music honor society.
Congratulations to all!
