Congratulations to our Suffern High School DECA team on an outstanding performance during Tuesday’s regional competition at Rockland Community College. More than 30 students participated in yesterday’s events, which had them presenting on finance, hospitality, entrepreneurship, and marketing topics.
Eighteen of our students qualified for the state competition, which will be held in Rochester, NY in late February. An additional six students were early qualifiers and will also attend the state competition.
The mission of DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. It’s an association of marketing students aimed to encourage the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions.
