During Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting, 25 Suffern Central teachers were awarded educational grants by the REACH Foundation of Rockland. Recipients from every school were chosen based on proposals that ranged in ideas and size. In addition to the contribution from REACH, the Suffern Retired Teacher’s Chapter of the Suffern Education Association helped fund the grants.
The REACH Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports innovative, educational and creative programming that promotes leadership, development, academic excellence and community service throughout our District. In addition to the grants, the foundation also runs the annual STEAM Expo and provides scholarships to graduating seniors.
