The World Language Honor Society incorporates four different language societies. The society represents the four world languages; American Sign Language, French, Italian, Spanish, taught at Suffern High School.
In order to be eligible for induction into the Honor Society for French, Italian, and Spanish, you must:
-Be a Junior or Senior
-Currently enrolled in a World Language Course
-Have a cumulative World Language average of a B+ in the Honors program or an A- in the Regents program throughout high school
-In good standing in citizenship and discipline
-Have completed at least 10 activity points, 5 of which were earned the year prior to Induction
In order to be eligible for induction into the Honor Society for American Sign Language, you must
-Be a Senior
-Currently enrolled in an American Sign Language Course
-Have a cumulative ASL average of an A
-In good standing in citizenship and discipline
Beginning in the 2023-2024 school year, students must earn 5 activity points prior to their induction year.

Use the sheet below to track your ten activity and event points.
NOTE: 5 of the 10 annual points must be obtained from attending lunchtime meetings. Once you are inducted, you must continue to earn points in order to maintain membership (10 points per year).
Beginning for the 2023-2024 school year, 5 of the 10 points required for induction must have been earned prior to your induction year.

Honor Society Meetings
Honor Society meetings and events are open to all grades, not just upperclassmen. Underclassmen are encouraged to participate in order to earn points needed to be inducted into the honor society. Additionally, the more points you earn through your involvement, the better chance you have of earning a board position in your senior year.
