How are students identified as MLLs?
NYSED provides this linked guidance on identifying MLL students. Beginning July 1, 2024, Suffern Central’s District MLL Education Department will administer all screenings and facilitate the identification process from the District office.

What licenses are needed to teach the MLL Program Classes?
Bilingual Ed programs: classroom teachers require an early childhood or grade 1-6 elementary education license with a bilingual extension.
ENL Program: Teachers require a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) license.
