RP Connor Mission Statement

  • The mission of the Richard P. Connor Elementary School is to foster a learning environment that encourages every student to realize their fullest potential. We envision a learning environment where all students and staff are actively engaged and reflective about their own personal journeys.

About RPC Elementary School

  • Richard P. Connor is home to over 450 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Our teachers and staff are incredibly dedicated and work hard to meet the needs of each and every student. Our families are supportive and add to the caring culture that is RP Connor School. Parents are active partners and we encourage them to participate throughout the school year through volunteering and attending school events sponsored by both the school and the PTA.

RP Connor is pleased to offer a variety of leadership opportunities for students in grades 4 and 5.

    Safety Patrol
Safety Patrol members assist with arrival and dismissal. The students also meet with Principal Benadi during the trimester to discuss concerns and areas that need to be addressed.

    The Cougar Chronicles
The Cougar Chronicles reporting team meets two to three times a month during lunch/recess with Principal Benadi to brainstorm ideas and work on the online and print editions. Students suggest topics and use different types of media to publish their stories.

    Math Ambassadors
Our Math Specialist, Mrs. Brennan invites students to apply to be a Math Ambassador. Fourth and fifth-grade students apply for a position and if selected, are trained and then support the primary grades during their math block by playing math games with the students in their classrooms. There are two leadership levels. Junior and senior ambassadors are given the opportunity to set up the schedule and set up the games.

    Student Council
Open to grade five, there is an application process, speeches and an election held at the end of each year for the following year. Students work with the advisor, Ms. Liberti, and Principal Benadi to create the spirit calendar and plan events for the school and community. The following positions are part of the student council:

    • President - The president contributes ideas to benefit the school community as well as support the ideas of the other council members.
