The Mountie Minds is a new citizen advisory council that will foster an open dialogue between the Suffern Central community and District administration. The group will be comprised of parents and non-parents, staff, students, community leaders and business owners. Its mission is to engage in conversations around District initiatives and provide input to the Superintendent on a variety of topics, all to help ensure a successful and innovative school system that maximizes each student’s potential.
The advisory council is organized by our Director of Communications & Community Relations and will meet Monday, November 14th, Thursday, February 9th and Wednesday, May 3rd from 6:30-8pm in our District offices. More than 100 individuals applied to be a part of the council for the 22-23 school year, and 50 were chosen. Information about each meeting will be shared on this website and at the board meetings.
