• The World Language Honor Society incorporates four different language societies. The society represents the four world languages; American Sign Language, French, Italian, Spanish, taught at Suffern High School.

    In order to be eligible for induction into the Honor Society for French, Italian, and Spanish, you must:

    -Be a Junior or Senior
    -Currently enrolled in a World Language Course
    -Have a cumulative World Language average of a B+  in the Honors program or an A- in the Regents program throughout high school
    -In good standing in citizenship and discipline
    -Have completed at least 10 activity points, 5 of which were earned the year prior to Induction

    In order to be eligible for induction into the Honor Society for American Sign Language, you must

    -Be a Senior
    -Currently enrolled in an American Sign Language Course
    -Have a cumulative ASL average of an A
    -In good standing in citizenship and discipline


    Beginning in the 2023-2024 school year, students must earn 5 activity points prior to their induction year.
